Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Her most well-known role was Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 and 2014. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting while attending the Preparatory School. In the late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons performing in Chicago theatre before moving on to film and TV roles. Anna had her biggest break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's She was then cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. She also starred in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully, the Deadwood film and a few other films were also starring her. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. The year 2022 saw Gunn also was a part of a four-part audio-play show known as "Numbered days". Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and eventual end resembles the last years of Walter White's personal life.
